This is an exciting opportunity to join
us! We are a residential care provider who are looking for a permanent (Level 5) Registered Home Manager to manage a brand-new service in
Leicester.

As this is a brand-new service, you will be entering the company at day 1. You will have input into all aspects of the service, including the recruitment of a
whole new staff team. We are passionate about getting the right team together, and for the right candidate we will consider someone with a current deputy
manager’s role.

·      Job role

Understanding and ability to work effectively with and alongside Ofsted regulations.
Understanding and promoting a variety of different therapeutic models.
Experience dealing with children experiencing emotional behavioural difficulties.
Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to delegate effectively.
Promote effective, emotional warm, therapeutic and restorative practise with children.
An ability to work both under own initiative and as part of a management team and overall team whilst maintaining effective and professional relationships with both internal and external agencies.
Be creative and able to use your own initiative and manage in challenging situations.
Detailed understanding and working within Children’s Act 1989, Care Standards Act 2000, Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and other relevant legislation.

Requirements

  • To be considered for this role, you must be an OFSTED Registered Manager for a children’s home or a Deputy in a children’s home with
    proven supervisory experience looking for a promotion.

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards this). 
  •  A minimum of 2 years’ recent experience as an OFSTED registered manager/deputy manager for under 17’s children in residential care.
  • Up to date with all mandatory training.
